He's never called a Daimao in BotW, in fact iirc it is said he was still trying to gain back his full power when Link confronts him. In ALBW he is a Daimao as well but his power was altered with the fusion with Yuga. These are the only two instances in which he is a full-blown Daimao. In the specific cases of the silver arrows, Ganon is at the pinnacle of his power that being Daimao Ganon. I also noticed each time the light arrows are used:Ģ) Ganon is not at his full power (Yakusai Ganon) / sharing it with another (Yuga) The sheikah have shown to be capable of harnassing the goddess's light and using it in various ways. They seem to be arrows not made of light, but imbued with Hylia's light. Either that or had to be "reinvented" around Zelda I's time. And it does seem odd, in ALBW, that they use them. They're there to lower Ganondorf's defenses rather than to destroy him. Now what I find particularly interesting about these is that in each example they're all pretty tame in terms of power, at least compared to the silver arrows. They're used in OoT, TWW, (TMC against Vaati), TP, BotW, and even ALBW. Much like the silver bullet, the silver arrow seems to be an arrow simply made of silver, giving it some kind of mythical power, the only power that can truly defeat Ganon at this time.

It may have been invented in that time specifically to defeat Ganon when nothing else worked, not to mention the Master Sword was thought to be lost by ALttP's time. In fact, in ALttP it was used to destroy Ganon where the Master Sword - however temepered it was - could not. Whatever the case, this seems like a particularly powerful weapon. And in Zelda I it did the same and this time the Mazoku took his ashes for him to be resurrected one day. In ALttP it totally destroyed his body before he would be resurrected from beyond the grave by Twinrova. Their purpose was simply to destroy Ganon's being. Because I was thinking, perhaps one is more effective than the other. Whatever the case, I would actually like to compare the two. Maybe its for more of a chronological reason. Maybe its an easier concept for the layman to grasp. Somewhere down the line that concept was dropped for light arrows. The Cobweb slows the fleeing creatures keeping them in your melee range and keeps them from retaliating. Some may not remember, but before OoT we didn't use light arrows to vanquish Ganon back then it was silver arrows. The creature is clubbed contentiously to apply fatigue and make the creature to submit. It will try its best to run away but the arrows you use have a special effect, which causes the taming process to speed up.Īn alternative method if taming is with the use of Wooden Clubs and Cobweb of Crystal Balls. This will hook the other end to the ground and thus your creature will be captured. If you managed to hit it on your first go, quickly aim towards the ground and fire again. Once you have located it, simply fire one of the crafted arrows at it. To tame the creature, first track down your desire creatures. If the animal is a herbivore, get some herbivore food and if the animal is a carnivore, get some carnivore food. Now craft these weapons and you will be all set to tame your desired creature.īefore you head out, make sure you have a feeding trough and the creature-specific food as well. You will fire these arrows using the bow at the creature to tame them.įor these arrows, you will require x1 Stone-tipped arrow, x1 Magic Shard, x5 Twine, & x3 Charcoal. Simply gather x15 wood and x50 Twine and you will be all set to craft your bow.Īfter you have crafted your bow, the second item on the equipment list is the Stone Hook Arrows. After you have reached Rank 2, you will need to craft the bow. So if you are not Rank 2 in Ranged Combat, first level up to Rank 2. To use a bow, first, you must ensure that you have reached Rank 2 in Ranged Combat otherwise you will not be able to equip the bow and thus you cannot simply tame creatures at this point. The bow is the main weapon that you will use against the creatures. You will require two basic items for your taming equipment requirements. This preparation includes the taming equipment that you need to tame the creatures and some items that you will need after you have captured the creature to tame it.
